Patricia Royce Obituary

1947 ~ 2017
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Patty passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family, on September 25, 2017. Patty was born February 13, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jack Wilson Job and Dorothy Beth Welte. Patty's mother lovingly referred to her as her, "Little Valentine". Patty married her sweetheart Robert "Larry" Lawrence Royce in Salt Lake City on November 7, 1968.
Patty attended Olympus High School, where she was a member of Concert Choir and worked at Arctic Circle after school. In Patty's early twenties she proudly worked at her father's business, Esquire Linen and then for Baker Hughes in Accounting. At age thirty Leisha was born, she would often say Leisha was her, "miracle baby" because she tried for several years to have children. In 1981 Jared was born and she was so happy to have a little, "Sonny" boy. Patty loved being a mother and always put her children first. Later in life Patty returned to work for seven years at Intel Corporation in Accounting and then retired in 2009. After retiring Patty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking day trips to Wendover and even a Cruise to the Mexican Riviera.
Survived by two children; Leisha Ann Aguilar-Ekstrom (Craig) and Robert Jared Royce (Natalie); nine grandchildren, Alec, Brooke, C.J., Kayla, Elaina, Isaac, Zach, Carter and Aaliyah and her doggie Tazz. Patty is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her mother Dorothy and father Jack Job, her eldest brothers Dennis Rae and Jack Ronald.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Friends and family may call one hour prior to service. Special thanks to Dr. Garrett Bird and his staff for their care.

Dear Leisha and Jared,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was such an amazing lady. To this day I can still see her smile and hear her laugh. She loved you both very much. She will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Leisha & Jared,

I met your Mother in 1975 while working at Eimco. Patty was a wonderful woman. We kept in touch thru the past years. I am so sorry for your loss. May your Mom rest in peace now as she is reunited with your Dad.
