Pauline Law Obituary

Pauline Law 08/03/35 ~ 05/28/06 Pauline Law passed away quietly Sunday May 28, 2006 in St. George, Utah. Pauline was born August 3, 1935 in Mapleton, Utah to Elsa Pauline Reichert Law and Ray Elroy Law. At the age of three her family moved to Ogden, Utah and then on to Oakland, California, where she graduated from Oakland High School. She attended Los Angeles City College, UCLA, San Francisco State College, and was a member of the Mu-Phi-Epsilon Sorority at the University Of Utah and was consistently on the Dean's Honor Roll at each University she attended. Pauline comes from a background of rich musical heritage. She started singing at a very early age. She pursued a music career studying at the San Francisco Conservatory, and concluded with the renowned Maestro Mr. Clausento Hugo Strelitzer of Los Angeles, and was a soloist with the Hollywood Symphony. She is the proud possessor of a long list of awards among them the first place winner of the National Society of Arts and Letters, the National Federation of Music clubs, the Victor Fuchs memorial award winner and many others. Pauline Law is an internationally known concert and TV - radio performer, who was one of the soloists chosen to dedicate the Los Angeles Music Center with Vivaldi's Gloria and Handel's Messiah. Along with numerous other callings, she served as a Stake missionary and an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles temple. She was a long time member of the Wilshire Ward in Los Angeles, California, moving to St. George, Utah in 2003. She was a gracious lady, a good hostess, hard working and kind to all. Her surviving siblings are Rose Law Silvers of Los Angeles, California, Lucile Elizabeth Smith of St. George, Utah, and Karol Reichert Law, of Apache Junction, Arizona. Although she never had children of her own, she was a very special aunt and will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be held at Heideman Mortuary located at 170 South Mall Drive, St. George, Utah, Wednesday May 31, 2006, 10:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. prior to the services at Heideman Mortuary. It was always a pleasure to get to visit with my mom's double cousin --Aunt Pauline.

So many of my memories of family gatherings and reunions included Pauline singing.

She and Elizabeth were able to attend my parents' 50th wedding anniversary just a few years ago. It was our privilage to hear her sing one more time. She will be missed.

Our sweet beautiful Aunt Pauline,

I will never forget you. What a beautiful, kind, thoughtful, intelligent daughter of God you are. You gave so much love to so many of us, and then you suffered too much.

I pray all will be well.

Give my dad a big kiss and hug for me, I miss him so.

I love you.

My sweet aunt, I love you and will miss you so much. We shared a favorite birth date, and I will always treasure all the wonderful times that we had together. You are a jewell and the world was a much better place to have had you in it. Love you forever,
