CARLOS CORDOVA Obituary

Carlos Max Cordova Sr. 1936 ~ 2011 Carlos Max Cordova, beloved father, grandfather, great-grand-father, uncle, brother and long-time resident of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on April 28 in Temple, Texas. At the time of his passing he was with his son Charles and his brother Cipy. Carlos was born in Trinidad, CO on June 28, 1936 to John and Mary Cordova. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957. He made Utah his home where he married Gladys Lucero. They lived in Clearfield where they raised nine children. Carlos worked at Hill Air Force Base and the Defense Depot Ogden (DDO) where he retired in 1993. He coached Little League Baseball for many years for Clearfield City. He loved to golf and fish and was also a very talented artist, creating many beautiful pencil sketches and oil paintings for his family and friends. Carlos is survived by eight children: Ricky (UT); Freddie (CO); Cindi (CO); Debbie (AZ); Andy (UT); Elizabeth (UT); Charlene (CO); Charles (TX); 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and seven siblings: Joseph (WY); John (UT); Robert (CA); Francisco (UT); Richard (UT); Benjamin (OH); and Dorothy (UT). He was preceded in death by his son Jimmy, his brother James, and his parents, John and Mary Cordova. Services will be held on June 24th at 4 p.m. at the Valley Christian Church, 5445 South 2700 West in Taylorsville. The Cordova Family would also like to thank the angels of Scott & White Hospice of Temple, Texas.
