Mr. Brinkerhoff was one of the finest teachers I had at Utah Technical College. He was able to make a complex equation easy to understand. He was a very gifted teacher.

Hey, Jo! You can bet I remember your hubby very well, from years back. We both taught school at the Salt Lake School of Electronics, and then at Weltech College. What a great guy,
don,t know anyone whose company I enjoyed more. If I remember correctly,
Joe left the school in about '64, and went to teach at (then) Trade Tech. I
moved to California to work at Ampex.
What I remember is that Joe had a wonderful sense of humor, always would
take time to talk with me, and had a
genuine feeling of love and concern for
those of us he knew. I learned too late about the services (darn it), but
certainly have the memories. Joe and Jo have a big family, too (8 for us)abd
that is neat.
My guess is that they have Joe
busy already, in that great Electronics
Lab in the sky. Love, Nolan Curtis

I've already posted a note to Jo, but I have to add this addendum. My voicemail message says, "I must be out goofing off somewhere." I "stole" that from Joe. That's what his message said, and I LOVED it, so I've now made it mine. Thank you, Joe -- for everything!

Joe was a wonderful man. I first met him after returning from my mission and starting school at the Utah Technical College. He gave me guidance as to how to proceed in my electronics career. Latter in life I had the privilege to be in the same ward with Joe and Jo, their son and daughter-in-law. He will be missed. He was a great example of goodness and love. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this time of loss. Alan and Sue Hyer

I can still hear his voice calling out from the house to us kids sleeping out in the backyard, "Alright, now you kids quiet down and get to sleep." I have so many memories growing up next door to Brinkerhoffs and Mr. Brinkerhoff at the head of the family responsible for their home being open to all of us. I am so grateful for the lessons of life I learned from this man and his family I will forever be in your debt.

Jo ... how sad I am to read of Joe's passing. Words can't express how I feel. I loved him as my Watkins Distributor -- and I loved you, too, you were such a dear all the time, and I was forever grateful to you for recommending Dr. Gary Larsen to me. That was a Godsend. I am so sorry for your loss. I offer my sincere sympathy!

I remember Mr.Brinkerhoff with a grateful heart. He taught math at Granger High School and I was a pupil. It has been 45 years since then, but I am still thankful for his patient assistance in teaching me skills that allowed me to complete my goal of becoming a nurse. He wasn't responsible to help me with math after I graduated from Granger, but still he was willing to go the extra mile. Thank you to a genuine gentleman. Death may rob us of your presence, but not of our fond memories. May your family feel the tender embrace of the Savior as they bid farewell to your earthly existence. Families are forever!
