Kevin was tragically taken from his family and extended family in an act of senseless violence.

Proud member of Salt Lake City Police Dept., where he served the community for fourteen years in Patrol, undercover in narcotics and vice, and was instrumental in starting the burglary alarm unit. Kevin medically retired in 1988. Charter member of F.O.A.D.
He is survived by his faithful puppy companion Kaasha. Son, Karl (Venus) Meik, daughter, Karen (Al) Schultz, Michelle (Brian) Johanek, Granddaughters Allison Schultz, Cami (Tyson) Sargent, grandsons Patrick and Joshua Biggs, and John Morrill. Sister Sharon (Gerald) Ustach. Great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also his devoted girlfriend Sherie Torres. Extended family, and close friends Laura Beckstead, John Irwin, and the entire Beckstead-Irwin clan that he spent all holidays, summer outings and gatherings with. You will be truly missed!

I LOVE Kevin! I miss him so much already. He was the kindest, funniest, and gentle person I know. I was in his ward with him and learned many things from him. He fixed my car and was always offering me and caring. He will truly be grately missed.

"Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family." I believe this is what Kevin would have wanted. I have known Kevin going on 10 years or so. He hired me as his Realtor in Utah. Moreover we became friends and had some amazing discussions. May he rest peacefully. My condolences to the "Clan" and all family members and friends. The Gales

Karen, Karl & family,
I cannot tell you how shocked & saddened I was when I heard of Kevin's passing.
I saw him a few months ago at Coachmen's and remember how well he looked in spite of his medical issues.
As you guys know we spent countless hours on the RaceCar and I have fond memories that will never be forgotten both from "wrenching" & chasing crooks!!!
My thoughts & prayers are with you and please contact me for anything!!!

It's hard to understand why people we need so badly in our lives are taken from us so fast and with out notice, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life by your dad. I wish i could be there to help take away some of the pain you are having. It will be the little things that we will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter, and although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.
I Love you guys so much! I will be there in spirit on Friday as we lay this man to rest and celebrate his life.
Love "little Jason"

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Kevins untimely passing. We have known Kevin for many years, he was the best man at our wedding in December of 1999. He was a wonderful and kind man and friend and will be missed by many. May the lord be with his family at this time and give you peace and comfort.

I didn't even know this wonderful Hero, however he should be recognized for his years protecting the Community. Life can be a struggle at times. There are no words that can express the pain you must be feeling. Please accept my condolences. My prayers are with the
family and Friends of this wonderful man. Peace be with you. xoxo
