Heber Simons Obituary
Heber Quay Simons, son of Edwin & Delna Simons 12/8/1945- 7/28/2014. An amazing and strong man loved by all who knew and met him. He taught us by example how to love, be kind and caring, laugh, show compassion and have respect for others. He loved to fish, hunt and camp. Later he added golfing and travel with his soul mate to the things he loved to do. His life was his family and he will be dearly missed by all. He was the hardest working man all of us knew. He always said… You get paid to do a job, so do it, and do it right! He worked as a baker, moved to Kennecott Copper where he worked 17 ½ years and retired after 23 years from Salt Lake City Airport.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda, daughter Wendy (John), daughter Stasi (Andy) son Chad (Jessica), mother June, sisters and brothers Debbie (Lee), Geneal (Doug), Brenda (Mike), David (Shauna), Gaye Lynn (Dennis), Eddie (Anna Marie), and Tonya, grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was greeted in heaven by many he loved who preceded him in death. His love will always be felt. We love you!

Uncle Quay you always had the most handsome smile and I remember you playing chess with Grandpa in the dining room sitting on the blue velvet chairs. You are deeply missed.

I remember uncle Quay and Grandpa Simons sitting at the dining room table playing chess. I always thought he was one of the most handsome men I had ever seen. He was always so kind to me. I love his smile.

Linda I'm so sorry for your loss. Quay Bear was our dearest friend and golfing buddy. We will miss his great smile and his big bear hug. We loved him so much. I only hope I can be as strong as Quay was during this time of sickness. He was such an inspiration to all of us. We all know how much he loved you!! We will always be there for you!! I only met Quay a few times but he will leave a lasting impression on how he raised and loved his family. He has raised a great family that I love dearly! I am so sorry for your loss.

The measure of a man is not "How did he pass?" but instead "How did he live?" not "What did he gain?" but "What did he give?" these are the means to measure the worth of a man.
From the first time I met Quay I was greeted with a smile that has stuck with me through the years. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He will be missed by myself as well as all the lives he's touched.
Linda, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult of times. I hope you take solace in knowing that Quay is always with you, with that smile, right over your shoulder.
