James Angelos Obituary

Our father, grandfather, and brother James B. Angelos Jr. caught his long awaited bus ride to heaven on January 4, 2015.
James was a musician who played with many famous musicians, a writer who wrote books and music, an activist, a Greek chef, a comedian, and many other things, but his biggest passion was his family. Spending time with his family was the most important thing in his life. If his story was told only heaven knows but to us he had a halo. James was willing to help anyone regardless of one's race or religion or whether one was rich or poor. He did not care. He touched the lives of many. He hoped to visit his parents' homeland of Greece one last time and his dream was for his son Weldon to be reunited with our family. But now he is finally having his pizza and wine with Jesus like he always wanted. He will truly be missed.
James is survived by his children Lisa, Weldon, Justin, Christina, Linda, Cindy, and Boyd; by his grandchildren Anthony, Candice, Cheri, Angela, Richard, Jessica, Anthony, Jesse, Meranda, Cyrus, Alena, Nico, and Tyler, brothers Tommy and Bill, sister Carol and by his ex-wife Gail, who he stopped loving this day. He was preceded in death by his sisters Vivian and Patricia, his brother Paul and his grandson Skyler.
His viewing will be held on January 17th at 1:00 and the services will be at 3:00 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial on 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, cash donations are accepted.

Boyd,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. No matter what words are said, nothing can fill the void! I too recently lost my Dad and it is painful. Just cherish the memories and know he is at peace and watching over you all. I am not sure if you remember me from school but I used to call you my BIG BRO! You took care of me and watched out for me when Jeff was gone for awhile! We were so close back then and I still cherish those memories. Good ol "skid row" as we called it. Take care, I think of you often dear friend! Thinking of you all at this sad time in your lives!
