Desbrow...my co-worker, sports talk buddy, and best of all my friend. You will be truly missed. Reflecting back on our friendship, we can share alot of stories but the one that will always stand out is the time I performed the heimlich manuever on you in the dining facility. That day, all I wanted was to make sure my friend was ok and now that God has called you home, I ask you to look down on us and make sure your family and friends are ok. I will miss your Dolphins and Spurs window flags, so in honor of you, I will always display the U.S. flag that came from you in my ofice. Take care...your Wingman.

Michael, this morning right before I woke up, my last dream was of you. You had on a white shirt and you were running...as you ran around the corner, I said, "Go Michael" and you glanced over and smiled, but did not speak. I miss you and hope you found all your doggie friends up there to keep you smiling. Please give Shylo, Jacomo and Kodi a kiss from Mom. Tell Mom and Dad I miss them also. Love now and forever, Aunt Mary

I remember you would always pick on me and would chase each other around the park on easter cracking eggs on each other. I love you always. Hugs and kisses. You are always in my thoughts and you are greatly missed. GO SPURS GO

Mary, Bob, Marguerite & Darlene:
Time will help your pain subside, but you will never forget this great young man. I never will.
May god watch over you in this time of sadness.

September 27, 2010

It is so hard for parents to come to grips with the death of a child. There is no way that you could ever be prepared for that. There is an old Red Foley song called steal away and it tells about parent losing a young child. It helped me understand life and death a little better. Marguerite, you and Bob from the cradle to the grave did everything above and beyond for Michael. It is so sad that the loved ones he left behind are the only ones to feel the pain. He is free from the earthly pains that he went through for 19 months and when it's your time, he will be there waiting for you. We love you guys.

Dear Desbrow Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.

Although I did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom.

His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

I am sorry the family has to endure the loss of such a wonderful person. From the moment I met Michael, he never treated me as a stranger. I remember so many funny moments and watched the tv go off many times because he had set the timer. He proudly served his country and helped air force personnel feel at home during Thanksgiving by opening his heart and family home to make them less lonely while they were away from home. They really enjoyed their phone calls and trip to the store to get sweets and junk food. God Bless Mary Desbrow, Bobby,Marguerite&Darlene and the rest of the family members and friends who were lucky enough to have known Michael.

Michaeal, my nephew and my Godson, will be greatly be missed by his wife, parents, sister,Godparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and co- workers. He was a wonderful young man, very loyal to family and friends. Most impressive was his love for the United States of America and his duty to serve in the Air Force. We will remember Michael with a smile on his face, his cheering for the Miami Dolphins and his loyality to help others in need. Gone too soon but never forgotten. With Love, Aunt Kathleen

Michael was my nephew and I loved him very much... we became close when my sister and her family moved here from Hialeah, Fla. We spent many summers together enjoying our time off. He was a kind-hearted boy and loved all my dogs until he grew up and had many of his own. I'll miss you Michael and I will forever keep your memory in my heart...love, Aunt Mary

Mikie, as I called him, will always hold a special place in my heart. He was such a happy, funny, hardworking individual. I will miss the rivalry we had; he was the UT fan and I the A&M fan, we had fun with that. I remember how much he loved his Oreo cookies, he was like a little kid. He was a good husband to Mary, a good son and a good friend to many. He will be missed but we must all celebrate his life. We must have faith and trust in God that we will be reunited again one day. My prayers go out to Mary, Ophelia and her family, and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Desbrow for their loss of such a wonderful man. May God bless you and bring you comfort and peace during this time. Love and prayers to each of you.

My deepest sympathy to the Desbrow family. During the past 19 months, I have witnessed a love for a husband, son, brother and other relative or friend that can only be equaled in Heaven. We should all strive toward giving and having such a love in our own lives. I believe it is our greatest purpose in life.
