Kathy Hipp Obituary

Kathy Love Hipp, 61, passed away at her home in Amesbury, MA on Wed., May 25, 2011. She was born on Aug. 17, 1949 to William (Bill) and Bobbie Schooler Love in Lamesa, TX. She graduated Lamesa High School in 1967, and she attended Hardin-Simmons College and Texas Tech University. Kathy married Jackie E. Hipp on Feb. 24, 1968 in the Midway Baptist Church. They lived in Lubbock a short time and then moved to San Antonio, where they lived for more than 40 years. Recently, they moved to Amesbury to be closer to family. A founding member of her doll club, Kathy restored, collected, sold and brokered antique dolls and Dresden for more than 20 years. Her personal collection numbered in the thousands and represented what she loved most in life: children, flowers, and beauty.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Jackie; her daughter, Kristi Pflug and husband Jeff of Anaconda, MT; her son, Jeff Hipp and wife Jessica, of Amesbury, MA; 2 grandsons, Sequoia and Denali Pflug of Anaconda, MT. Her father, Bill Love preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by her mother, Bobbie Love of Lamesa, and brother Raymond Love and wife Chrysti of Lamesa. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held at 10:00 am on Mon., June 6 at the Wilson Chapel, First Baptist Church, 515 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX.

So saddened by this news. Kathy was so talented with her dolls. I remember she did beautiful repairs and "refreshing" to some of mine. Thoughts and prayers to you, Jackie, and your family.
