Lola Hohner Obituary

HOHNER
Lola Mae Bowman Hohner, was born in Big Foot, TX to Ira & Ida Bowman on October 24,1915 and passed away in San Antonio, TX on January 28, 2009 at the age of 93 years and 3 months. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, R.E. (Bob) Hohner in 1993, granddaughter Brenda Belz, brother, Chet Bowman and sister Marie Bilbrey. She is survived by brother Raymond Bowman, her daughters, Janis Lane, Joan Lage her husband Jerry of San Antonio, TX; son, Bill Hohner his wife Linda of Granbury, TX; grandchildren, Rusty Belz & Janet, Laurie Johnson & Britt, Wayne Lage & Dora, Jeff Lage, Rhonda Fogle & Mark, Robin Devenish & Glen, and Robby Lane & Sandra. The great-grandchildren are Nikki Thomason & Brian, Brandi Johnson & Jason Bailey, Kristi Mathews, Leslie Ann Lage, Justin Lage, Jade, Greer, Tucker & Keil Fogle, Ian Devenish, Elizabeth, Kristine, Steven & Robert Lane and great-great granddaughter, Mia Gayle Bailey. Lola enjoyed traveling and her fondest memory was her first trip to Hawaii in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She was a "card person"- loved sending and receiving greeting cards for all occasions. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church for 79 years. In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name to Riverside Baptist Church, 111 Topeka St., San Antonio, TX 78210 would be greatly appreciated. The Family thanks her doctors Jennifer Wallace, Gerald Koppes & Randall Rogers, also Interim Health Care & the nurses and staff of Vitas Hospice. Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 12 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
