I knew my mother's dear sister Armandina, by her nickname Manda. What a cook! When Manda was in the kitchen you knew a great meal was on it's way! The memories of my youth are filled with happy family gatherings, with Manda and her lively eyes leading her gang of fellow Villareal sisters in the preparation of food and fun for the entire gathering. I always felt a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of my extended family, but always welcomed and loved. I will always remember Manda and those wonderful times. Rest in peace.
