James Coley Obituary

COLEY
Col. James P. Coley, (U.S. Army Retired), passed away into eternal life on November 28, 2010 at the age of 81. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Lynn Coley. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gayle; son, Jim, Jr., grandson Garrett and Toby the cat. Jim was born in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Louie G. and Eva M. Coley. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute as a 2nd Lt. and served his country faithfully for 28 years, retiring in 1979. He was awarded the Silver Star, Legion of Merit with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and other decorations. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at Rolling Oaks Christian Church, 7150 Stahl Rd. with Rev. Al Adams officiating.
