I've had the great pleasure of knowing Mark for 30+ years (and being friends for much of that time, too). I knew him to be a loving father to his children, and dedicated to the job he loved. And he was so incredibly funny! As much as there is great sadness at his passing, there is great joy at having him as a friend. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Today was not good bye. Just a pause until we meet again. Mark, you have a special place in our hearts. You will be missed everyday. But NEVER forgotten. Always in our hearts. We are better persons because of your friendship, generosity and love. Thank you for your fearless pursuits to keep us safe. And I feel comfort knowing that you are still watching over us. we love you eternally.

I especially remember going through the SAPD Academy with you and your dedication to law enforcement. I pray your family takes comfort in knowing your new Chief, St. Michael, has a new cop on the beat in Heaven.

We knew Mark for a short time. It was obvious he was a good man, a loving father, and a dedicated officer. He will truly be missed. We would like to extend our condolences to the family, especially Christopher. It breaks our hearts that Christopher lost his dad whom he had a unique relationship with, but we feel that Mark will be with him in spirit.

I have only known Mark for a couple of years. I do know he was a good man and a fine officer.

I am out of town and will be unable to attend the services, but I wish to offer my condolences and prayers to the family.

I worked with Mark many years at Castle Hills and he was tireless in his pursuits. I could depend on him professionally and personally. Law enforcement has lost a dedicated Officer. The only thing he was better at was being a Father. My thoughts and prayers to Christopher and Family.
