Glendora Marie "Pat" Makepeace Smith

Pat Smith, 88 passed away on April 25, 2012 following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on May 19, 1923 in Rhode Island to Edwin L. and Eva Glendora Makepeace. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Donavon Francis "Don" Smith, (Ret. USAF). Pat is survived by her children Patricia Stevens (Robert); Donavon Smith, Jr. (Pamela Rustemier); David Smith; Michael Smith (Kathy); Peter Smith (Cecilia Young); grandchildren Kristina Stevens; Michelle Smith; Savannah Smith; Colin Smith, Evan Smith, and great granddaughter Natalie Stevens. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the following special people in Pat's life: Tom and Alma Shelton, Jim and Rosie Meeks, Isabel Moncivais, Cristina Carranza, Mary Chapa, Sandra Mann, members of the Windcrest United Methodist Church, and the Hope Hospice team. A memorial service will be held for Pat at the Windcrest United Methodist Church on Friday, May 4th at 1:00 pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be directed to: Hope Hospice, 611 North Walnut Avenue, New Braunfels, TX 78130; Windcrest United Methodist Church, 8101 Midcrown Drive, San Antonio, TX 78239; SAMMinistries, 5254 Blanco Road, San Antonio, TX 78216; Alzheimer's Association, San Antonio & South Texas Service Area, 7400 Louis Pasteur, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229.
