Ellen and I met at the University of Dallas and remained friends for 50+ years. I was her maid of honor when she and Ray married. We kept in touch over the years and visited each other at our ranch in Ballinger and at her camphouse. She and I would meet for lunch and shopping somewhere along I35 between Austin and San Antonio. She and Ray would meet me and my husband John for lunch on weekends.
She didn't want me to visit her this year but we talked by phone often. I will dearly miss her and very much treasure the years we had together.

Fond memories growing up in Rochelle with Ellen and her family as well as the Doyals. Heartfelt sympathy to Ray and all the family. Thinking of you during this difficult time.
