Daniel Durst Obituary

Daniel J. Durst, 98, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. He was born March 30, 1906 in Mason County, TX to Otto Durst and Hulda Fischer Durst. Mr. Durst was a Deacon at Sheltering Arms Church and lived a full life of Christian faith. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ella Durst; son, Ken Durst and his wife Pat; grandchildren, Cindy Honess and her husband John, Dr. Rick Durst and his wife Kristi, Laurie Walters and her husband Jim, Randy Durst, Dan Durst, Dianne Schwarz and her husband Gerry; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister, Clara Neuman; numerous nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2004 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Harris as principal minister. The Entombment will follow privately in the mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park. To leave a message for the family, please log on www.mem.com. Arrangements are with Sunset Funeral Home.
