Everett Miller Obituary

Everett "Bud" Miller, 90 VALLEY CENTER -- Everett "Bud" Miller passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011. He was born on November 15, 1920 in Nashua, Iowa. Bud was a P-38 Fighter Pilot ACE in WWII in the Army Air Corps. He owned and operated Bud's Shoe Repair in Vista, retiring in 1977. In retirement, he enjoyed the life of a farmer with many fruit trees. He spent many enjoyable hours traveling with the "Itchy Foot Tribe" and playing horseshoes with the Valley Center seniors. He was an avid boatsman, living aboard his 42' Pacemaker in SD Harbor for three years. One of his great joys was Wednesday morning breakfasts with the Old Bold Pilots in Oceanside. He was a man of integrity who loved his family dearly and will be profoundly missed by them and his many friends. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Miller. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Walters of Prescott, Ariz., and Pamela Klevesahl of Poway; three grandchildren, Clint, Stephanie and Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, April 15, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Valley Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sharp Hospice. Just think of all the wonderful things your dad is already doing; flying the fastest plane, catching the biggest fish, growing the biggest avocado. Such a high spirit and he will be missed.
