Jones Rhineheart Pierce Jr April 18, 1925 - December 9, 2015 SAN DIEGO It is with heavy hearts that the family of Master Chief Jones Rhineheart Pierce, Jr., announce his passing. He was a most beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Jones was born in Kiowa, OK but moved to O'Donnell, TX when he was a child with his family. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he retired after 26 years of service including service during World War II. He then worked another 20 years for Home Federal Savings in San Diego. Jones was also a Free Mason and active with the Shriner's of San Diego, CA. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lillian Pierce of Biloxi, MS; his two sons and their wives, John and Vicki Pierce of San Diego, CA, and Jones Pierce III and Jodie Pierce of Ramona, CA; his daughter-in-law, Margaret Wiegand of Escondido, CA; his grandchildren, Joshua and Sandra Soper of Orlando, FL, Jennifer and Sean Laura of Carthage, TX, Scarlett Pierce and Daniel Hofer of Valley Center, CA, and Autumn Pierce of Escondido, CA; his great-grandchildren, Ruby, Camellia and John Laura, Zane and Kevin Soper, and Maverick Hofer; his brother and his wife, Billy and Marlene Pierce of Lubbock, TX; and his sister, Jean Vulgamore of O'Donnell, TX.
