Alfred Mattei Obituary
Alfred J. Mattei, 79, of Solana Beach died Thursday. He was born in Charlestown, Mass., and was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Mattei; daughters, Laura Taylor of Solana Beach and Antoinette Mattei of Boulder City, Nev.; sons, Eric Mattei of San Diego, Brett Mattei of Canberra, Australia, and Craig Mattei of Solana Beach; brother, John Mattei of San Diego; and four grandchildren.
Viewing: 1 to 2 p.m. today, St. James Catholic Church, 625 Nardo Ave., Solana Beach.
Mass: 2 p.m. today at the church.
Interment: 10 a.m. Wednesday, El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.
Donations: San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego, CA 92103.
