Grandma, you were a sweet person. I am really sad that you're gone. I think of you constantly. I have a peace in my heart though. I know you are in Heaven with Jesus and you're beyond happy there! Still I miss you. I love you so much. I hope all of our tears don't make you sad. We just remember you caring for us and making us feel loved. You did a wonderful job! I'm lucky to have known you, not to mention have had you for a grandma! Thank you for all the sweet cards EVERY year for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, Halloween and birthdays. I loved those.
I miss going out every weekend with you when we lived closer. Danny, Mom, and Grandpa would go out to eat with us. Then we'd take the dogs for a long walk and talk. You were the one who treated me and Danny to the movies and then lunch after on most weekends. We always looked forward to that! That brought us all closer, too. I remember you kept a chest at your house and there would be something in it for us when we'd come over! One year for Christmas you gave it to us full of things!
I love strawberries and whipped cream because I used to have it at your house after dinner! You made wonderful food. I used to ask what everyone wanted to drink at Thanksgiving and you'd be so appreciative of my little bit of help.
I miss the faces you made when you were joking around. I don't feel like you're really gone, but I know that you are. I know that you're happy now and I'm glad you had such a happy, full life here too. I love you very much.

I didn't know Betty personally but my Mother Clara went to the excersize class with her until she passed in January. They enjoyed eachothers company and Mom spoke of her fondly. My prayers are with you and Mom and Betty are now leading the excersize class in heaven!

As a friend said of her parent, I do not know how to be in this world without Mom to turn to.
Over time, I hope we will find comfort in sweet memories.
