Hi Jules! Well, it's Christmas eve day and I'm wondering about how you're doing there in Paradise... I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Jay and his wife yesterday while my daughter and I were at the movies. We all *four* went to the same movie... "True Grit" An awesome movie that just happens to be a remake of an original *old* John Wayne flick. It was one of the better remakes I've seen in some time!

Take care, and know we are all thinking of you *often* and pray that only good will come your boys way,
~LWM Jr.

Your beautiful smile will forever live in the hearts and minds of everyone you encountered. Rest In Peace Julie

Dear Ogdens,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We lived the Teach, Laguna and SLO High education as a tight knit community. We know each others children and it is especially hard to lose any one. Although I lost contact once you left the immediate area I can see Julie did very well with her life. A nurse and mother. She was a beautiful person.

Wow. My very first friend in SLO. We met at 5 years old. She insisted on being my friend since I was the new kid. Loving, giving, always a friend to everyone! Always with a smile! My love for her will keep the memories alive! I think of the Ogdens often since we grew up together. Like when she would run away (just for the day) to my house but of course our moms would talk so everyone knew where we were:) Barry, Leslie, Laurie, Jason, Max & Jimmy, You are in our thoughts and prayers!

My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Ogden and Purcell families during this difficult time of loss. Although Julie was now of course a grown, beautiful woman, to me she will always be that sweet, spunky little blonde girl I first knew when Laurie and I where first friends around 1973 in grammer school. Her infectious smile, giving nature, and kind eyes have never left me from the time I spent with her (and my best friend Laurie). Like others I imagine who weren't so lucky, I was always welcomed by the gracious Ogden family, including Julie, at their home and on their many outings and adventures--I especially remember Mt. Baldy in the old station wagon to the snow as just one of those special memories. I will carry Julie and the Ogdens in my heart the rest of my days.

I'm so very saddened to hear about Julie. It seems like not too long ago I visited with her at the gym. She was on the treadmill and called out to me.( I guess it was a few years ago.) I was so delighted to see her and get and update about you Laurie, and your Mom and Dad. I have sweet memories of you all. You are a kind and loving family and I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. With love, Kathy Spencer-Canepa

Kari's words captured Julie's beauty so perfectly! I knew Julie as the daughter of my dear friends, Leslie and Barry, and I know her loss is nearly unbearable. Leslie, I love you, and I wish I could repay your family's kindness to me with a magic wand to ease your pain. You have been, and will continue to be, an extraordinary mother and grandmother. Barry, you are an example for all our sons to follow as they become fathers and grandfathers. Steve and I send our love to you all.

Rest In Peace, Jules!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. Julie was such a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed. I was fortunate to spend a lot of time with her at the dance studio and will always remember her passion for dance, and the smile that went with it.

My deepest and sincere sympathy go out to the Ogden family! I knew Julie to be a very gracious and caring young lady! We danced together at the Academy of Dance and she was a couple of years behind me in school! I will always remember her smile! May she be free now to fly with the angels! My love and prayers are with the whole family.

Wow, I can't believe this is true. My thoughts and prayers go out to Julie’s loved ones. I went to junior high and high school with her though many years have since passed; I can honestly say she was someone I always enjoyed hanging out with when given the opportunity. She was the kind of person that attracted people to her because of how full of life she was.

She will truly be missed but never forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear of Julie's passing. I have wonderful memories of Julie as we grew up. I was lucky enough to go all through school with Julie and play with her in the neighborhood. Julie was always kind, always generous and just a beautiful girl inside and out. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

There are very few of my childhood memories that DON'T include Julie. We shared classes together (at Teach School, Laguna and SLOSH!) and years of dance lessons at Pat Jackson's studio. She was the lovliest of dancers... elegant ballerina, energetic jazz dancer and a plucky, persistant tap whizz. One of my fondest memories is of the two of us choreographing a "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" dance number... we wore candy-cane striped costumes and performed in Mission Plaza. I could never dance as gracefully nor as confidently as Julie yet she gave me the confidence to perform. She had an infectious optimism and drive that could make anyone feel they could dance with Baryishnikov, if they just kept practicing.
Julie had a breezy, untroubled, appreciative outlook...a natural ease that was a magnetic.
To the Ogden Family, I send my deepest sympathies. It isn't only Julie who fills many of my treasured childhood memories, but all of you as well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Julie with us... we are all better for having her as a part of our world.
