LaVerne Maxwell Obituary

LaVerne Maxwell, 90, formerly of Morro Bay, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer''s Disease Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. She was born in January 1920 to Joseph and Ora George and raised in the Mid-West. She and her family eventually moved to California in the late 30s. She eventually settled on the Central Coast, where she worked for over 30 years for the Bank of America before she retired. LaVerne was a true lady. She was wise, charming and always had the ability to make light of any situation with her wonderful loving personality. Her family was her life. She will be truly missed LaVerne is survived by her devoted husband, Otis Maxwell; daughter Sally Sigler; granddaughter, Marissa Sigler; extended family Diane "Kooki" Peters, Carrie Rabner; brother, Donald George; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A service has already been held. In lieu of flowers, contributions in LaVerne''s memory can be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, 3480 S. Higuera St., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
