Marianne Decker Obituary

Marianne Decker, 78, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, Nov. 2, 2010, in Mountain View, Calif. She was born in Salinas, Calif., in September 1932, the only child of Loyal Maurice and Cordibel Coats (both originally from Texas). Marianne was happily married for 43 years to Wilbur "Bill" Eugene Decker of Fleming, Colo., up until his death in 1999. As the devoted wife of a Navy fighter pilot and aerospace engineer, Marianne had a long life filled with many adventures. Her smile and laughter will be missed. Marianne is survived by her son, Stephen Maurice Decker (Lisa Ann) of Campbell, Calif.; and daughter, Sharolyn Marie Bradford of Honolulu, Hawaii. Like her husband Bill, her ashes will be scattered at sea to join him in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the national Alzheimer''s Association or your local Hospice.

Decker Family, So sorry to hear Marianne has passed. She was a sweet lady and we were so lucky to have her as our next door neighbor for several years. She and Bill always treated our kids to ice cold rootbeer in frosty mugs and chewing gum. Joey & Hayley loved to jump the fence and visit with both of them. I will think of her fondly as I bake her delicious sugar cookies this holiday season.
