Dear Gary: As you know, I ran into the two of you one day in Riverview Park. I believe you were taking photos of the Observatory. I didn't realize at the time you had moved into the neighborhood!!!!!
What a surprise!!!!! I then went over to your house to look at slides!!!!! It was a wonderful afternoon!!!!!

Both my brother and I exchanged e-mails with Mary Ann for quite a few years. I was thinking of her today and realised I haven't heard from her for so long - I googled her name and came across this site. We became good e-mail friends and talked about a lot of different subjects. Mary Ann also wrote to my daughter when she was serving in Afghanistan. We became friends after Mary Ann posted a message on a Wigan Forum ( I live in Wigan, England)- she was trying to trace old family members - my brother answered the message and then passed the details on to me as he lives in Madrid, Spain. We almost got to meet - Mary Ann and Gary had planned to visit Wigan a few years ago - I invited them to a meal at my house and we were going to visit the local history shop. At the last minute the trip had to be cancelled due to Mary Ann's health. I am so very sad to learn of her death. I think it says a lot about her as a person that she managed to befriend two total strangers and to maintain the friendship without ever meeting. Rest in peace, dear Mary Ann

As a high school classmate of Mary Ann's, I always held her in great respect. She was always personable and intelligent and a very caring person. We shared many a classroom and activity together and she was always someone who was a delight to be around.

Mary Ann was and is part of my life as a forever friend. I will never forget her wonderful sense of humour, her love of nature and her great love for her wonderful husband, son and family. She made my heart happy. Love always xx

Mary Ann is a special Angel to me ... and always was. I could listen to her for hours and walk away with a smile in my heart. Her love for life, her family and her Gary is an honor to have known about and shared in. Thank you.
