Wesley Anderson Obituary

On Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, Wesley C. Anderson lost his year-long battle with lung cancer. He was born in February 1955 in San Luis Obispo. In January of 1973, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for 20 years. During his time in the military he served two tours to Germany and one tour to Korea. Wes could be found any weekend at local lakes or rivers fishing with his family and friends. Fishing was truly a passion and hobby for Wes. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and sports. Wes is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters Roberta "Bobbie" Davis and Jessica Thompson (J.O.); son, Jason Anderson; along with four grandkids Kaitlyn, William, Hannah Green and Lilly Thompson. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at the San Miguel Community Center, 256 K St. in San Miguel, with a celebration of life immediately following the service. At the families request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 227 South St. Ste. R, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I started work at Applied a week after Wes did. I always considered us friends. I really enjoyed all of his animal stories, he would have all of us laughing. May your memories help get all of you through this time. Ellen Buckley
