Memorial services have been set for Ray Belgard on Tue., Mar. 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the J.J. Crosetti Bldg at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Roger and Debbie Belgard of Miwuk Village and a daughter and son-in-law Jody and Tim Akimoto of Watsonville; two brothers and sisters-in-law Bob and Janet Belgard of Watsonville and Dave and Barbara Belgard of Roseville; and a grandchild Blake Cross of Garden Valley. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Watsonville Police Assistance Fund, 215 Union St., Watsonville, CA 95076. Davis Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ray, was a young handsome genteel guy when first we met, he on his three wheeler and I at the dispatchers chair, circa Salinas 1958. Law enforcement and public service, would be how William and I in Santa Cruz County would come to know this gentle giant of small physical frame.
