Donald E. Dye
July 3, 1925-July 20, 2013
Resident of Scotts Valley
Don was born in Taft, California on July 3, 1925.
He is survived by his children Sherrie Dye, Rebecca Dye, Linda Delorme, David Dull, George Dull and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Don served as a lieutenant in the Navy during WWII and received a Masters in Economics from U.C. Berkeley. He was a college educator and business officer of Merit College for over 30 years. Always the teacher and sage, he continued corresponding and advising his students the rest of his life. Don had the ability to tease anyone in a loving way and always make them laugh. He was a passionate photographer for over 50 years and always had a love of gardening.
A memorial service will be held at Felton Presbyterian Church on August 3rd at 2:00 pm.

I have fond memories of Don from years ago when Sherrie and I were dating, and he was always so friendly and welcoming. I've tried to follow his example with my own daughter. Rest in peace, Don.
