Resident of Capitola
Frederick E. Green passed away on December 26, 2012 at his home in Capitola. He was 82. Fred was born in San Francisco on February 24, 1930 to Alvina and Frederick Green. He was raised in San Francisco, moved to Sebastopol in 1967 to raise a family and owned GG Plastic Countertops with his long time friend Al Gracheff. He retired to Yankee Hill, Ca. and has lived the past five years in Capitola, Ca. Everything Fred did or wanted was heavy duty from cars to food to his desire for perfection which earned him the nickname "Heavy". Fred served in the Military Reserve at the Presidio in San Francisco.
Fred is survived by his wife Mary Louise Green; former wife Joan Green, sister Diane Pate (Jeff), his children, Dennis Green (Suzy), Dave Green (Kimberly), Linda Robinson (Jeff); his grandchildren, Dustin Green, Nicholas Green, Caleigh Green, Kory Robinson, and Dane Robinson. Fred was preceded in death by his mother Alvina, father Frederick, stepfather Glen McIntyre and sisters, Dorothy Batie and Dolores Fry.
A Memorial Service will be held for Fred on Friday, January 4th beginning at 1:30 pm at Benito Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz, Ca. Well Fred,
I do think of you often... So happy I moved back to England...small village, I ring bells, teach yoga and work in the local shop for 12 hours a week and enjoy my dogs. All the things we talked about on Thursday afternoons.
I loved your friendship and miss Sir!

Wow!
Fred this is the first time I have ever received this notification.
It seems like yesterday that we whooped it up Starbucks, you would help me out with my backyard and I loved Thursday afternoon drinks & dinner on Thursdays. Loved are trips, laughter & having fun!
I hope whatever you are up to now you are content & partying!

Fred, You always had that sparkle in your eye and that brought you and I together. Even though our friendship has been cut short we had some great times and they will stay with me forever. A man with a stout heart and cheerful word for everyone... That was Fred! Miss you Andrew.
