Faith Claffey
1923 - 2011
Resident of Roseville
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday for Faith who passed away at her home in Roseville on November 13, 2011. Born in Virginia, she was 88 years old.
Faith was raised in Phoebus, now known as Hampton, Virginia. Her father was in the military and she spent some of her early years living on Fort Monroe. She traveled west to California in her early twenties where she met her husband, Bill Claffey. They were married at the Mission Santa Barbara. Faith had two children, twins Tony and Meegan. She worked for and retired from the County of Santa Cruz. She was a big part of Tau-Beta sorority club and Star of the Sea catholic parish. She loved her friends dearly and enjoyed reading, playing card games and traveling. She lived in Santa Cruz for over fifty years and recently moved to be closer to her grandchildren in Roseville California.
She is survived by her granddaughter Lindsey Culver, grandson in-law David Culver and three great grandchildren Logan, Lucas and Maddox of Roseville California. She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Faith will join her family in heaven, as she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Claffey in 1981, her son Tony Claffey in 1980 and her daughter Meegan Vellutini in 2002. She was a very happy, giving and energetic person. Anyone who knew her knew she was always on the go and loved keeping herself busy.
A memorial mass will be at one o'clock on Thursday November 17 at the Villa Maria Del Mar (2-1918 E Cliff Dr.).

Lindsey, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. Faith was such a special person to me. My Mom happened to see your Grandma's name in the paper and clipped it out for me.
Not sure if you remember me but your Mom and I were friends ... and I have some sweet memories of you too! I've been thinking of your Mom so much as I decorate for Christmas, ornaments she gave me from when she worked at The Farm.
I would love to talk to you some time. Here's my email and cell: [email protected], 831.212.5802. I'm on Facebook too.
Love you much, Renee
