Linda Haukos Obituary

LINDA R. HAUKOS Linda R. Haukos, 59, passed away at home August 5, 2010. She was born in Fergus Falls, MN April 15, 1951 and was most recently a resident of Santa Fe, NM. Linda graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1969 and earned her college degree from New Mexico State University in 1973. Linda will be remembered as a teacher. After college she moved to Hobbs, NM, where she taught kindergarten for 3 years. She studied Reiki, a holistic hands-on healing, and became a Reiki master; she spent many years practicing and teaching Reiki to many students. Linda also studied Buddhism and taught meditation. She enjoyed the beauty of outdoors and photography. She also enjoyed a good movie. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl W. Haukos. Linda is survived by her daughter, Marisa Vigil and her husband, Sam of Rio Rancho, NM; mother, Arlene Haukos of Fergus Falls, MN; brother, Sam Haukos and his wife, Nancy of Ashby, MN; brother, Scott Haukos of Lake George, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and two cats: Rosalie and Gabby. To respect Linda's wishes, no services will be held. Linda's care has been entrusted to Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 505-764-9663.
