Phyllis Trainor Obituary

Phyllis E. Trainor Was born January 20, 1918 in the adobe ranch house of the Chief Ouray Ranch, Montrose County, Colorado to Besse B. and Louis Meyers. She attended high school in Montrose and college at Western State in CO, earning a BA in Music (specializing in piano) and in Education. Upon graduation she married her college sweetheart E. William "Bill" Trainor. She continued to teach piano throughout her life even though Bill's career as a special agent with the FBI moved them to many cities in the US. They had three children, Lou Anne Trainor, Constance Sutton Durand and William Patrick Trainor to whom Phyllis was a loving, dedicated and wonderful mother. Upon retirement Phyllis and Bill returned to Grand Junction, CO. After her husband's death Phyllis moved to Santa Fe, NM to be close to her daughter and son-in-law, Albert C. Durand. She passed away peacefully on October 28, 2011. Survivors include her three children, her son-in-law, her daughter in law, Laurisa Elhai Trainor and four grandchildren, Bjorn Sutton and his wife Brooke, Colin Sutton, Robin Elhai Trainor and Forest Elhai Trainor. Phyllis was deeply loved by her family and will be held in their hearts forever.
