Carlos Roybal Obituary

Carlos J. Roybal Age 58 of Santa Fe, NM. passed away on Friday February 6, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Valerie Roybal; and brother David Roybal. He was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe and was a professional painter. He had previously worked at The College of Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Public Schools, was a little league baseball coach, and a referee for basketball games. Carlos is survived by his sisters Carmela Montoya of Santa Fe and Flora Sanchez and husband Jose of Las Vegas, NM.; brother Rudy Roybal of Santa Fe; grandmother Lucy Mares of Santa Fe; goddaughter Cassandra Montoya; nephews: Mike Roybal, David Sanchez, Anthony Montoya and wife Sandra, Jeff Montoya and wife Marlene, Tonio Roybal; nieces: Sandra Herrera and husband Patrick, Karen Montoya, Stella Roybal, Gloria Roybal and Tessa Roybal. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday February 12, 2009, 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe, with the Mass of Christian Burial starting at 10:00 am immediately following the Rosary recital. Carlos was one of the bros from the old barrio. He was YCFA like the rest of us. Carlos started getting all the bros to play organized softball, he would always be able to get us a sponser. We didn't see much of each other lately but I still call him my ggod friend. we will al praay for him. Gerald Garcia
