Gary Abernethy Obituary
Former resident Gary David Abernethy, 75, of Grants Pass died Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 23rd, 3:00 PM at Edgewater Christian Fellowship 101 Assembly Circle, Grants Pass. Private interment will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Gospel Rescue Mission: PO Box 190, Grants Pass, Oregon 97528

He was born on November 13, 1934 in Pampa, Texas to Eldon and Thelma Abernethy. He graduated High School from Amarillo High School. Gary served in the United States Marines serving in Korea. After moving to Grants Pass from Santa Maria, Ca he attended Edgewater Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Abdun-Nur of Grants Pass, OR and Deborah Abernethy of Santa Maria, CA; two sons, David Abernethy of Santa Maria, CA and Glen Abernethy of Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Patricia Alderson of Lubbock, TX and Sharon Knowles of Albuquerque, NM; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
