Georgia Northcutt Obituary

Georgia Lee Northcutt
1934 - 2011
Georgia Lee Northcutt, 76, passed away with her family by her side on April 29, 2011 in Santa Maria.
Georgia was born July 1, 1934 in Paulsvalley, Oklahoma to Raymond and Marie Magruder. She was raised and educated in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Shortly after graduating from high school, Georgia married and started her family. Her husband liked to move often, so she would pack up and make the next location a wonderful home for her family. Her family was very important to her and she loved to be surrounded by them. Georgia was a very independent person, but would never turn down her family taking care of her. When Georgia turned 50 years old, she decided to go to College to further her education. She took this knowledge and went to work for Lockheed in Vandenberg and then shortly after that went to work for High Desert Hospital in Lancaster. She loved to be around people, and talk about politics. You could often find her shopping, however found pleasure in just looking, not buying. Georgia loved playing Bunco at Casa del Rio with her friends, or watching her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
Georgia will be fondly remembered as a devoted Mother, a Grandmother that loved to spoil her grandchildren, a friend that enjoyed playing Bunco and talking, and a woman that would choose chocolate over a meal in a heartbeat.
Georgia is survived by her children; Jari and her husband Richard Kartozian, Michael Northcutt and Traci and her husband Darren Simas, along with her grandchildren; Kelsey and her husband Tommy Reimbold, Kristopher Kartozian, Zack Northcutt, C.J. Northcutt, Blake Simas and Bailie Simas. She is also survived by three nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marie Magruder and her brother Darold Magruder.
A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Lifeway Fellowship Church, 2627 Skyway Drive, #A, Santa Maria, CA 93455.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen fund for the Cure of Breast Cancer, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, Texas 75265-0309.
Arrangements are in the care of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home and Crematory. Sympathy notes and words of support may be expressed at www.magnermaloney.com.
