Raymond Stephens Obituary

Raymond Eugene Stephens (Ray)
Raymond Eugene Stephens (Ray) passed away Monday Oct 25, 2010 . He was a resident at the Magnolia Assisted Living Facility in Orcutt, CA. Raymond was born November 9, 1912 ; thus he was three weeks short of his 98th birthday.  Raymond had lived and farmed east of Orosi, CA for over sixty years. Though he loved the area, he left about a year ago to be cared for by his adult children in the Santa Maria area and then finally became a resident at the Magnolia Facility.
He is survived by his three children, Barbara Wendt, Roberta Solodkin and Rodney Stephens, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services for Raymond are to be held at the Sequoia Presbyterian Church at 12883 Ave. 419, Orosi, CA  at  11 AM on Friday, November 5, 2010. The internment will be at Smith Mountain Cemetery, Dinuba, CA
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dopkins Chapel in Dinuba, CA  (559-591-1919)
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any of the following: The Alzheimer's Association,  P.O. What a wonderful Christian mentor Raymond Stephens was. It was a privilege to worship and serve with him at the Orosi First Baptist Church. May God bless and comfort his family. Cecil & Carol Reed

Mr. Stephens held a special place in our hearts. He & Vernie were always so supportive of the Youth at Orosi First Baptist. We will always remember him as a Godly man.
