Dear Family,
My prayers and thoughts go out to each of you. I am a native of Hall Co., GA but have lived in TN since 1975. I feel sure that Leola was married to one of my Wades. I have eight Peyton L. or Peyton Lisby Wades in my family tree program, but not one who was born in 1885 of which your Peyton was. I have tried to search on Ancestry to find out who your Peyton's dad was but as there was no 1890 census and in the 1900 one, Peyton's mother is widowed, I haven't had any luck. Her name was Susan L. Wade and she showed that she had been married 21 yrs, which would have made it about 1879, but I could not find her in the 1880 census. I came into the DAR and "First Families of TN" through Edward WADE, b. 1726 in VA and died 1790 in Greene Co., GA. He had a son called Peyton Lisby, b. 1755 and he died in Morgan Co., GA. The other Peyton's came on down from the 1790 Peyton. I would like to hear from any of the family. Hopefully you can furnish me the name of your peyton's dad.
