I will always remember Charlie as a young man; gentle, understanding, and modest with a love of the arts.

I am very sorry to hear of Charlie's loss. I learned of it while searching for contact information to ask a question about Mary Telfair. Charlie was always eager to help with his favorite subject. He was a class act all around, and though I did not know him well, it was a great honor to meet him a few years ago at the book festival. A big loss to Savannah. My deepest condolences to his family.
