Kent was perhaps the kindest and most gracious man I ever knew. We were in shock when we heard of his passing. Karen and I Frequently talk of him and Judy. He is missed and the world is a poorer place without him.

Lt. Col. Crenshaw was my squadron commander at Edwards AFB - a true scholar and gentleman who was liked/ respected/ admired by all who served with him as fine pilot, engineer and officer. He will be missed. RIP.

I was saddened to hear of Kent's passing. I was an instructor of his at the Test Pilot School and worked with him later during his return to the Academy. He was a true gentleman and professional, and always a pleasure to work with and be with. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest condolences to the entire Crenshaw family on Kent's untimely passing. I apologize for the lateness of this entry; I only learned of the tragedy that took him from us yesterday. As a West Point classmate who was also commissioned in the Air Force, I knew Kent to be one of the steadiest and most reliable among us. His loss diminishes us all; he will sorely be missed.

Dear Judy,
I met Kent while working for Flight Safety in Savannah. I had the honor of flying with him on a few occassions. We became instant friends and stayed in contact with each other when I moved to NJ and worked with CAE. I called him whenever I had a question that I could not answer and trusted Kent's answer to be true. I did not find out about his death until a few days ago and I truly feel a loss. I believe we will see him again and I am pleased that I was blessed to be one of his many friends.

We often drive by both of your old houses, and remember good times.... Some lovely dinners, a special get together at your 30th street West condo with a pianist, excellent fellowship with friends, good wine, and many laughs. You and Kent have a wonderful gift of hospitality. Wish there had been even more times we had been together.
We just found out today and are still very stunned. We wish we could have been there to share in the celebration I of Kent's life. God promises us all:

I had the pleasure of working for and flying with Kent at Edwards AFB for several years in the late 80's. He was a man I admired in many ways. He was a wonderful leader and supervisor who was always accessible and lead by example. He had a quiet, friendly competence that we all respected. And he was, of course, a superb aviator. I'm glad to have known him and am a better man for the experience.

I am so sorry for you loss. Kent had a big impact on my life as he worked my assignment to the USAF Academy when he was the Department of Aeronautics' Personnel Officer. It has always been a great pleasure to see him whenever he returned to Colorado Springs for the Aeronautics Department Dining In. He will certainly be missed. Our thought and prayers are with you.

Judith, I met you and Kent in Tullahoma, TN about 1 1/2 yrs ago at the Beech Aero Club Fly-in event at the Beech Museum. We rode in a van to the distillery and talked along the way. Both you and Kent left a wonderful, lasting impression on me with your kindness, and open friendliness to someone you had just met. Judy--Jan and I send our prayers and deepest sympathies. Kent was the most professional officer I worked with during 30 years in the Air Force. He was a terrific person in every aspect and we will miss him. It was great to see him this past fall at the dining out---just like him to return to celebrate with Shirley. His life was too short--but it was well lived. He inspired so many of us.

Judy, I think we only met at the NYC reunion in Sep '09. I am so sorry for you and your son and sister-in-law. Kent and I were good friends as I recall at WP; I think we roomed together 2-3 times. I was the project officer of the programs for the Israeli Air Force Gulfstreams and flew with Kent quite a few times.
All the pilots of the Gulfstream Squadron here in Israel that knew Kent were so sorry to hear of your loss.

Judy: We were so shocked and terribly saddened by the news. Kent was the best of the best and I consider it a great honor to have worked so closely with him during two tours at the Academy. I shared several of my favorite memories of Kent with my classes this morning and I could tell they were proud to be part of the legacy that Kent established. He was a great member of the Aero Department and I fondly remember visiting and catching up with him at our Dining Out last Oct were we sat next to each other. A great memory I will always charish is working with Kent to establish our undergraduate flight test course which is the best in the nation and has graduated future test pilots and flight test engineers for nearly the past 30 years. We wish you all of God's comfort in this time of great sorrow.
