Josephine Hubbard Obituary

Josephine Tanner Hubbard - HARDEEVILLE, SC - Mrs. Josephine Hubbard, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at age eighty. Mourning her passing are her adoring husband of sixty-four years, Mr. E. Carlyle Hubbard of Hardeeville, SC and four children: Emeriel Hubbard, Jr. (Brenda) of Okatie, SC, Keith Hubbard (Laurie) of Hilton Head, SC, Cindy Lawson (Todd) of Hardeeville, and Laurie Crosby (Ricky) of Coosawhatchie, SC. She also has thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was the youngest of seven children of Jesse Theodore and Josie Altman Tanner. Her early years were spent in Winnsboro, SC. Survivors also include brother Harry Tanner and sister Ida Drew Johnson, both of Bluffton, SC. Mrs. Hubbard was a homemaker. Her other interests included serving as a Pink Lady volunteer at Candler Hospital for eighteen years, extensive travel with family and friends, arts and crafts, and vacationing at beaches on Florida's west coast. Burial at Maye River Baptist Church. Private graveside ceremony for family only. The family requests remembrances in lieu of flowers to Hospice Savannah Foundation, PO Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416 or www.HospiceSavannahHelps.org.
