FREDERICK LA CHANCE Obituary

FREDERICK JAMES LA CHANCE, JR. Former resident of Fontana, passed away August 14, 2010, in Ventura, at the age of 85. Fred retired from Kaiser Steel after working there for over 25 years. He also worked for SCE as a service shop mechanic for 6 years. Fred was a very proud veteran. He served as an infantry rifleman in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he received numerous decorations and citations, including a Purple Heart. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Joyce La Chance; daughter, Irene La Chance of Corona, CA; sons, David M. (Lori) Gillem Sr. of Ventura, CA, and Terry D. Gillem; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. Graveside Service with military honors will take place Friday, August 20, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, CA.
