Trent Picozzi Obituary

TRENT Q. PICOZZI, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at Baptist Health & Rehabilitation in Scotia. Born in Schenectady, Trent was the son of the late Gaetano & Carmela Cioffi Picozzi. He lived in Schenectady most of his life but resided in California for 30 yrs before returning to live in Schenectady. Trent served with the US Army during WWII and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt. in 1946. He owned and operated a used car dealership in Colonie for several years and later became a Real Estate Agent. He was a Vol. Firefighter with the Sanford Heights Fire Dept for several years. Trent enjoyed dancing. He belonged to Western and Square Dancing clubs and won several awards in competitive dancing. In addition to his parents he was also p redeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Hradil Picozzi, who died in 1977, four brothers, Martin Picozzi, Alexander Picozzi, Orlando Picozzi and Eugene Picozzi, three sisters, Marie Senecal, Nancy Smith and Michelina LeVielle, two nephews, Thomas Picozzi and Joseph LeVielle and one niece, Theresa Sinda. Trent is survived by five nieces, his Godchild, Camille (Arthur) Crandall of Delanson, Karen (Fred) Adamec and Emma (Michael) Cook of Rotterdam, Marie (Sal) Corcione of Albany and Camille (Lou) Francavilla of F lorida; two nephews, Raymond (Leslie) Senecal of Scotia and Orlando (Poppy) Picozzi of Ballston Spa; several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held in Schenectady, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Health & Rehabilitation Center, 297 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church St. Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780.
