October 13, 1951 - May 10, 2014
Alecia "Lisa" passed away on Saturday May 10th, 2014, at the age of 62.
Alecia's heart was big, compassionate and filled with love for her family and those around her. She leaves behind her beloved son, Casey C. Schendel, and husband, Peter J. Hall.
Alecia was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 13, 1951 and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Daughter of the late Vinson and Phyllis Schendel. Beloved sister of Timothy, Christopher and Mary Schendel. Loving aunt of Matthew, Kiera, Mackenzie and Alexis.
On November 25, 1986, Alecia gave birth to her one and only child, Casey Schendel. As a mother, Alecia was the utmost loving and caring (and sometimes overprotective) mother a son could ever ask for. On November 1996, Alecia met Peter J. Hall, her one and only true love. They were a match made under God's watch and loved each other unconditionally every day, through sickness and in health. Lastly there is Krackers Schendel, Alecia's beloved tuxedo kitty who she would always refer to as her daughter with a tail.
She was an artist that loved painting, sketching, crafts and most recently scrapbooking. Her home is filled with all kinds of her artistic creations from all times of her life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 23, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Roman Catholic Church, located at 15520 Ventura Blvd., Encino, CA 91436. Peter and Casey I am soo sorry for your loss and know how difficult of a time this is for u. I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend time with Lisa and hear so many wonderful stories. She loved u both soooo much. May the memories continue to bring u joy for years to come.~ Love Theresa

I am so sorry for your loss. OMG She looks just like me! Must be the Schendel gene. Living so far away we never got to see all of you very much but I always enjoyed the times I did get to spend with Lisa. When I was 17 & we came out there she took me to her apartment and I got to meet some of her friends. That was fun! Next time I saw her was Aunt Muriel's when she came for a visit-also happened to be at then time my sister was getting married. I tried but couldn't get her to come out and party with us. Then last time was at your Mom and Dad's 60th anniversary. It was always great to see her. I have great memories of Lisa and I hope all the good memories you have will see you through this.

I never got to know her but knowing how wonderful her son Casey is she must've been a great lady. She will continue to be proud of the great accomplishments her successors will have.
