Peter "Dewey" Bloschichak

Peter "Dewey" Bloschichak, a lifelong resident of Frackville, died Tuesday evening after a lengthy illness at the home of his nephew, Michael and Diane Bloschichak, Frackville, with whom he resided. Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary Bader Bloschichak. He attended Frackville schools. He was an Air Force veteran and served as a crew chief. Peter was a member of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, a lifetime member of BPO Elks Lodge 1533 and American Legion Post 398, both of Frackville, and the Friendship Fire Company, Englewood, Butler Township. He worked as a sprinklerfitter for the National Automatic Sprinklerfitter Union, Local 669. He played softball for many years and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Rose M. Sullivan Bloschichak, in 1996; a sister, Sandra Grosser; five brothers, Andrew, Nicholas, Joseph, Theodore and Russel Bloschichak. Surviving are a sister, Mary Ann Gnall, Frackville; three brothers, John Bloschichak, Levittown, Steven Bloschichak, Frackville, and Paul Bloschichak, Saint Clair; nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home, Frackville. Panichida service will be at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Cantrell officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery, Frackville.
