I've only known Allen for the past 5 years, and I was so grateful for that time. He was a very kind, compassionate and interesting person. I learned allot from him and thank him for that. May God Bless his family during this time.

Pop Pop was a good man who loved having his independence-I would offer to take him here or there but he would always have other arrangements made. I'm going to miss him-even his stubbornness.

May Allen rest in peace. He was great coworker and dear friend. Allen was a dedicated teacher and tireless contributor to the Teacher’s Association on the local, regional and statewide fronts.

Pop Pop was a generous, kind hearted but peculiar man who liked his independence and being alone.
A man who loved to travel near and far.He always took his time telling stories or explaining a difficult math problem. He loved his coffee black and with his meal, playing pinochle, solitaire, silly games with Haley and won ton soup .
A man who loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, taking walks, removing the weeds from in between the bricks in his sidewalk every summer , watching Jeopardy, gardening, and donating to WVIA and every other charitable organization.
Most of all Allen loved his mother and father, his wife ( Ga Ga ) , and his great grandchildren.
He wouldn't want us to focus on the sadness of his death, but instead focus on the happiness in our lives.
