Thomas "Sluggo" Mullin Jr., 71, of Kaska, passed away Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville, March 21, 1947, he was a son of the late Thomas Sr. and Leah Spotts Mullin.

After high school, he joined the Air Force where he attained the rank of Sergeant serving with the 401 Trans Sq during the Vietnam War.

Sluggo is survived by sons, Jason Mullin, Kaska, and Brandon Mullin and fiancee, Fawn Guldner, Nesquehoning; sisters, Carol Lee Fritz, Cape Coral, Fla., and Beverly Pelachick, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Jaxson Mullin, Texas, and Autumn Green, Nesquehoning.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Ronald J. Minner officiating. Viewing will be from 6 p.m. Thursday until time of service at the Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia. Interment with military honors will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Thomas J. Bartashus Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
