Stephen Fago Obituary

Stephen Fago, 81, of 409 Broad St., Ashland, passed away peacefully Friday at Bloomsburg Health Care, Bloomsburg.

Born in Centralia on Aug. 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Konkus Fago.

He was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Catholic Church, Centralia.

He graduated in 1945 from Conyngham Township High School.

He was an Army veteran and graduate of Bloomsburg University with a degree in chemistry and physics.

He worked as a special agent for Penn National Insurance Co. for 10 years and later owned and operated the Boris Insurance Agency in Ashland until 1995.

He was a member of the Ashland Rotary from 1997 until the present and a member of the Ashland Elks and Centralia Legion.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Andrew, Peter, Paul and Alex; three sisters, Mary, Martha and Eileen.

Surviving are two brothers, Michael, husband of Stella Fago, Bloomsburg, and John, husband of Catherine Fago, Deptford, N.J.; nieces and neph- ews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Greek Catholic Church, Centralia, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak officiating.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland.

Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
