Jeddy Rocheleau Obituary

Jeddy I. Rocheleau, 88 year old resident of Belle Prairie, MN, passed away Tuesday (July 24) at St. Gabriel's hospital in Little Falls.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with Rev. Joe Herzinga officiating.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with parish prayers at 5:30 PM.  There will also be reviewal Friday from 9:30-10:30 at Holy Family Catholic Church.  Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.

Jeddy was born September 24, 1923 on the family farm in Belle Prairie Township to the late Ulric and Minnie 'Allord' Rocheleau.  He grew up in Belle Prairie and attended District #16 country school.  Jeddy was united in marriage to Harriet M. Larson on October 29, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rice, MN.  The couple dairy farmed on the family homestead in Belle Prairie for over 50 years.  Jeddy last worked for Community Services supervising  the ice skating rinks in Little Falls.  Jeddy enjoyed life to the fullest.  He made daily stops at Belle Prairie Junction to visit.  He enjoyed watching the Timberwolves and the Twins.    He liked gardening, everything about John Deere tractors, playing cards and spending time at the Senior Center.  Jeddy was a great dancer and was one of the best at two step waltzing.  Jeddy was a faithful life time member of Holy Family Catholic Church where he ushered for years.  He also served on the Board of the West Side Creamery for many years.  He was a former member of the Holy Name Society.

Jeddy I. Rocheleau is survived by his sons, Randy Rochealeau of Little Falls, MN; Brian Rocheleau of Little Falls, MN and James 'Mary' Rocheleau of Swanville, MN; daughters, Nila 'Donald' Zapzalka of Little Falls, MN, Sharon Kedrowski of Little Falls, MN and Joan 'Kenneth' Czech of Flensburg, MN;  sisters, Florence Tholen of Little Falls, MN and Marie Bieganek of Sarasota, Fl; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Jeddy was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet; parents; sisters, Sylvia Brousseau and Alice Larson.

Casketbearers will be Sheryl Kedrowski, Jayme and Bradley Rocheleau, Brent Zapzalka, Shawn and Jeremy Czech.
