Frank John Kostreba Jr., 60

Paynesville

May 29, 1951- February 15, 2012

Frank John Kostreba Jr., 60 of Paynesville died on Wednesday, February 15, at his home after a brief battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 620 Lake Avenue S., Paynesville 56362. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at a later date.

Frank was born May 29, 1951 in St. Cloud, MN to Frank, Sr. and Lavada (Stien) Kostreba. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, entering in 1968 and honorably discharged in 1970. He married Nancy Shoultz on July 7, 1971 in Sauk Rapids. He worked as a carpenter and small engine mechanic most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and loved to tell jokes.

Frank's life became devoted to Christ. He received a Masters of Biblical Studies and in Evangelism. He was involved in many churches. He prayed for everyone and anything.

Frank is survived by his wife of over 40 years Nancy of Paynesville, children Char (Mike) Peltz of Roscoe, Sheila (Mike) Kascht of Paynesville, Shay Kostreba of Regal, Cody Kostreba of Paynesville, 12 grandchildren, and sister Caroline Kostreba of St. Cloud.

Preceding him in death were his parents, infant brother LeRoy, and infant granddaughter Kayla Kascht.
