Bonnie Jean Fessenden, age 44 of Monticello, died from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Monticello. Visitation will be Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 11 am to 2 pm at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Mike Pancoast officiating. Interment will be at South Santiago Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

Bonnie was born on November 22, 1970, in Mason City, Iowa, to Charlie and Donna (Abrahamson) Stearns. She lived in the Monticello area all of her life, and graduated from Monticello High School in 1989. She was united in marriage to Dean Fessenden on October 14, 1989. For the past 15 years, she was employed at Health Billing Systems in Plymouth. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, and taking pictures, but her greatest joy was being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie; and brother David Stearns. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Dean; children Nicholas and Ashley; mother Donna Stearns; sib- lings LeeAnn (Troy) Aleckson, Theresa Olson, Debbie Bor- ders, Leona (Rick) Helm- brecht, Brian (Joan) Borders; many nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law Harry and Vicki Fessen- den; and sisters-in-law Tammy Fessenden and Kari (Brian) McMahon.

Heaven is a little brighter now upon the arrival of such a star as Bonnie. One of the best softball mom's anyone could ever have the pleasure of meeting. Our family enjoyed every smile she shared, every hug she gave the girls, and every example she showed of integrity. Our hearts are heavy but we are so thankful to have had her in our lives.
