Oct. 29, 1916 - Dec. 28, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Raymond H. Fruth, age 99, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Benedict's Senior Community in St. Cloud. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Burial will take place in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls with full military honors on Monday.

Family and friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church in St. Cloud. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Ray was born on October 29, 1916 in Luxemburg to the late Alois and Anna (Hansen) Fruth. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Emily Gasser on June 29, 1939 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He worked as a Construction Foreman for Martin Fruth Construction and Johnson Brothers. Ray was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Catholic United Financial, Operating Engineers #49, and Disabled Veterans.

Ray is survived by his children, Ted (Judy) of Coon Rapids and Iris (Owen) Lay of St. Cloud; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emily in 2002; brothers and sisters, Marie Keppers, Genevieve Mohs, Hubert, Andy, Fr. Alban, OSB, Leo, Helen, Ben, Leonard, Martin, Wendelin and Emma Thielmann.
